The District of Houston will be holding its General Voting Day fro 8:00am to 8:00pm on November 9, 2016 in the District of Houston Council Chambers. Voters are required to bring two pieces of valid identification, which show their name, address and signature. Non-Resident Property Electors are also required to bring a consent form signed by a majority of the property owners which delegates to them the power to vote on behalf of the property. No votes may be cast on behalf of properties owner by a corporation. Each resident elector and non-resident elector is permitted to vote only once.
This is the last day on which voting may be conducted. After 8:00pm, no voters will be permitted to enter the polling station. After the last voter has left the polling station, Election Officials will proceed to count the ballots. Candidates and Candidate Representatives will be permitted to be at the polling station to observe counting.
