Houston's first fire truck was purchased Dec. 3, 1957 by the Village of Houston, from Mr. Albert Tidsbury, an area miner, for the GRAND SUM of $225.00 The truck was equipped with a portable forestry pump & plow, and served double duty as Houston's first snow plow.
Engine # 2, was purchased in 1990 from Superior Emergency of Red Deer, Alberta, and is equipped with a 1050 GPM midship mount pump, with enclosed seating for 5 fighters. |
