PPT Lifeguard / Instructor
(Leisure Facility)
Term: Permanent Part-Time
Rate of Pay: $22.20 plus $0.85 premium when instructing.
Hours of Work: 22 to 40 Hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Leisure Facility Supervisor, this position will be responsible for ensuring the safety, protection and enjoyment of those engaged in
activities in or out of the water at the Houston Leisure Facility. This includes supervision and control of aquatic activities, ensuring that the facility rules and
regulations are followed, ensuring that safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards and practices and maintained, and other duties as detailed in the job description.
Required Qualifications:
Water Safety Instructors Certificate
National Lifeguard Service Award
Level “C” CPR Certificate
Standard First Aid Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Experience as a Lifeguard or Instructor
Current Aquatic Emergency Certificate
Pool Operator’s Certificate Level I
BCRPA Personal Fitness Training Certificate
Life Saving Society Instructor Certificate

Casual Lifeguards
The Houston Leisure Facility has a standing opening for Casual Lifeguards - inquire today about position availability!
In order to qualify, you must have certification from the National Lifesaving Society, a CPR "C" Certificate, and First Aid Level 1 training. Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certification are preferable, but not necessary for the position.
