The Silverthorne Creek Drainage Area is located West of town, where properties and businesses have historically been impacted by seasonal flooding due to freshet snowmelt in the spring. The existing drainage infrastructure system becomes overwhelmed resulting in the flooding of properties and infrastructure. The District is currently pursuing grant funding to complete further drainage infrastructure works in the area to permanently redirect the flow of water in accordance with the options discussed in the following engineering report.
