Manager of Planning and Development

Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Manager of Planning and Development will perform a wide range of duties, including acting as the primary point of contact for the processing of various development applications such as permits, variances, and zoning amendments, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The role requires effective communication with applicants, project proponents, the public, staff, and Council, and involves preparing detailed reports, public notices, and recommendations for Council.

The Manager of Planning and Development will be compensated with a salary of $100,000 - $120,000 annually, a comprehensive benefits package, a family pass to the District’s top-notch Leisure Centre, and enrollment in the Municipal Pension Plan.

Casual Lifeguards

The Houston Leisure Facility has a standing opening for Casual Lifeguards - inquire today about position availability!

In order to qualify, you must have certification from the National Lifesaving Society, a CPR "C" Certificate, and Standard First Aid Level 1 training. Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certification are preferable, but not necessary for the position.
