Student Labourers (Public Works/Parks)
The District of Houston is seeking qualified applicants for five (5) temporary full-time Student Labourer positions for the period of May 4, 2026 to September 4, 2026.
Reporting to the Director of Operations or their designate, the incumbent will perform regular maintenance of the District’s parks and park amenities. Primary responsibilities include maintaining parks and facilities through general outdoor labour, safely operating and maintaining equipment, identifying and reporting safety or repair issues, and interacting professionally with the public while representing the District.
In order to qualify, you must have a valid class 5 BC driver's licence, Basic First Aid and current CPR certification, and some experience operating equipment related to the work.

Casual Lifeguards
The Houston Leisure Facility has a standing opening for Casual Lifeguards - inquire today about position availability!
In order to qualify, you must have certification from the National Lifesaving Society, a CPR "C" Certificate, and Standard First Aid Level 1 training. Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certification are preferable, but not necessary for the position.
