Wildfires can be devastating, but with proper planning and preparation, you can mitigate the losses to you and your community. We encourage residents to prepare for the event of a wildfire in advance and implement FireSmart principals on their property.

This includes vegetation management, building with fire-resistant materials, and regular maintenance of your home and property.. FireSmart Home Inspections

Take action today—be FireSmart and help protect your home and community.

The FireSmart BC Wildfire Mitigation Program is a free, voluntary program providing professional home and structure assessments with tailored recommendations to boost wildfire resilience. Our team offers FireSmart home inspections to help identify and mitigate wildfire risks around your property. Schedule an inspection today to ensure your home is as fire-resistant as possible. We are also offering rebates on eligible work done towards making your property more FireSmart.

The Wildfire Mitigation Program includes:

  • Confidential home assessment by a Wildfire Mitigation Specialist
  • Detailed report with a fire risk reduction plan
  • Custom recommendations and resources for fire resilience
  • Follow-up inspection available after actions are taken
  • FireSmart certificate upon completing all recommendations
