Located to the east side of Houston, Avalon is just off of Baggerman Cres, in Avalon Subdivision. This playground is great for young children.

Northside Park

Located on the east side of Houston, Northside Park is at the corner of 3rd and Copeland. This park has a ball diamond, outhouses, playground, picnic area and walking trails nearby.

Steelhead Park

Located on the east side of Houston along Highway 16, this park is the pride and joy of our community. It boasts the “World’s Largest Flyrod”, walking trails, playground, dog run, picnic areas, fountains and beautiful flower gardens. Visitors know this park as a great stopping point in our community!

Jamie Baxter Park

Located on the west side of Houston. Jamie Baxter runs along west 14th St near the Public Health Center. There is a skateboard park, ball diamond, BMX track, playground, outhouses and picnic area.

Hagman Park

Located on the west side of Houston, Hagman Park is in the Mountain View subdivision at the entrance to the Duck Pond area. This playground is great for young children.

Duck Pond Walking Trails

Located on the west side of Houston, the Duck Pond can be accessed through Hungerford Dr, Hagman Cres, or Nadina Way. There are platforms, benches and garbage cans, and a dock to feed the ducks from.

Four Seasons Park

Located west of Houston at the far end of Mountainview Drive, this park has four ball diamonds, rodeo grounds and a riding arena, Pleasant Valley Days is hosted at this park.

Nadina Park

Located on the west side of Houston, Nadina Park is just off Nadina Place. There are swings and a picnic area here.

By-Mac Park

Located west of Houston, you can find the park by traveling 4km west of Houston on Highway 16. Take a left onto the Morice River Road and travel past the mills to 4km. Take a right at 4km and follow the road about 1 km. You will see signs for By-Mac Park. There are 9 unserviced campsites, a shelter, boat launch into the Morice River, picnic areas and outhouses.

Northwood Picnic Site

Located 5 km west of downtown Houston, this site is on Highway 16. This park is a great stop with picnic areas and outhouses.

Irrigation Lake

Located 14km west of Houston. Follow Highway 16 west and follow the signs to Irrigation Lake. This area comes with several picnic areas, fire pits, beach, change rooms and outhouses.

Houston Community Forest

Follow Highway 16 west of Houston about 3km, take a left onto Buck Flats Rd, and travel this for about 7 km. Turn right at the Morice Mountain Nordic Ski trails. Here you will find walking trails, horseback riding trails and cross country skiing. There is also a beautiful picnic spot on Silverthorne Lake.

Ruiter Heights Park

Located on the west side of Houston at the end of Lahti in the Ruiter Heights Subdivision. This park contains a great playground for young children.
