RFP 2018-1812 - Ice Resurfacing Machine

Solicitation Number: 2018-1812 Release Date: April 20, 2018 Closing Date: May 11, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M.

The District of Houston (‘District’) is seeking Proposals from qualified companies for the supply of a new Ice Resurfacing Machine.

The District of Houston requests Proposals to select qualified and experienced companies to supply and deliver the following equipment:

One Propane Powered Ice Resurfacing Machine

The Services will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supply and Delivery of the equipment proposed;
  • Provide local (Northwest BC) dealer warranty service; and
  • Provide post-delivery services and parts availability at a local dealer area.

The units are to be the current production model with all the latest updates, including, where requested, all manual, instructions, training and requested spare parts. Proponents may also propose alternative equipment which meets the majority of the specifications if it is immediately available for delivery.

Proponents wishing to submit a response must do submit their proposal with three (3) hardcopies in a sealed envelope by no later than May 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Non-compliant proposals will be disqualified and receive no further consideration.

All communications except for those with the District's contact person are strictly forbidden. Inquiries, interpretations, and questions regarding this RFQ are to be directed to Tasha Kelly, in writing, at leisure.services@houston.ca up to April 27, 2018. Proponents must not contact other members of the DOH prior to consideration of their bid; proponents which contact other members of the District will be disqualified.

RFP 2018-1545 - Bymac Park Boat Launch Design & Build

Solicitation Number: 2018-1825 Release Date: April 10, 2018 Closing Date: May 16, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M.

The District of Houston (the “District”) is requesting written quotations from contractors to remove and replace the existing boat launch at Bymac Park in Houston, BC with an interlocking concrete pad, approximately 120 sq. m. in size and anchored into the river bank. Upon completion, the Contractor will provide the District with recommended maintenance standards to ensure the boat launch remains in good working order. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including boat launch design, permitting, demolition and construction. Work is to be completed during the construction window for work in and about Morice River as determined by the BC Ministry of Environment, and a permit application to the Ministry must be made at least 45 days prior to the start of work.

The Contractor must provide a lump sum quotation for all costs related to providing this service including, but not limited to, design, set up and installation plan, permitting, removal of the existing boat launch, labour costs, machinery and equipment, materials and supplies, installation, taxes, and delivery.
